Mr. Bundit Sapianchai, Chief Executive Officer of BCPG Public Company Limited has agreed to donate THB 200,000 to support the refurbishment of one single unit student dormitory. Mr. Bundit is an AIT alumnus graduated with a Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Management 1988, and also the President of AITAA Thailand Chapter.

IVL Foundation Supports Two August Intake Master’s Scholarships

The IVL Foundation has agreed to support two Master’s scholarships for students who are academically bright and financially needy for August 2021 intake. The two scholarships cover full tuition and four semester’s registration fees, a total of THB 1,696,000, and can be provided for any students in the three schools at AIT. The sponsorship agreement was signed on 11th August 2021 between the Foundation and AIT President.
AIT Wood Verification App to Enhance Traceability of Timber in Thailand

Bangkok, 26 August 2021 – A newly developed mobile application is set to verify timber and counter illegal logging for the Royal Forest Department of Thailand. The launch and training for the forest officials, supported by the Asian Institute of Technology and its partners on 20th August 2021, served as a prelude to ASEAN Single Window and Thailand 4.0.
Illegal logging poses major challenges not only to the natural environment, but also to the economic livelihood of local communities who are depending on the forest.
