Mongolian University of Science and Technology to send students to AIT

The students will join AIT during the August 2013 semester, and they
will use AIT laboratories and facilities to conduct their research. The
exchange follows a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between MUST
and AIT on 17 December 2012. The delegation from MUST, which also
included Prof. Khuut Tseedulam and Ms. Jamiyanjav Urantugs, liaison
officer, International Cooperation, also evinced interest in sending
teachers to AIT, and submitting joint research proposals. 

Dr. Pham Huy Giao, Coordinator, Geosystem Exploration and Petroleum
Engineering (GEPG) program, who had initiated the AIT partnership with
MUST, remarked that the GEPG program could mark the starting point of
an extensive collaboration that could cover other fields and programs.
Mr. Ahmed Amjad Ali, Head, External Relations and Communications Office
(ERCO) welcomed the delegation and elaborated on the offerings at AIT.

The delegation also met with Dr. Amararatne Yakupitiyage, Associate
Dean, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD); Dr.
Juthathip Jongwanich of School of Management (SOM); Mr. Zia Islam,
Senior Academic Officer, SOM; Dr. Manzul Hazarika, Associate Director,
Geoinformatics Center; Mr. Bayasgalan Sanduijav, Senior Program
Officer, Regional Resource Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RR.CAP);
Ms. Wannapa Pliansri, Coordinator, ERCO; Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal, Senior
Program Officer, ERCO; and Ms. Tripti Rajbhandari, Program Officer,
School of Engineering and Technology (SET).
