A Thai national, Mr. Marrut earned a Bachelor of Economics degree from
Chulalongkorn University and a Master of Engineering degree from AIT in
Industrial Engineering and Management in 1994.
Prior to joining Hitachi Data Systems, Mr. Marrut held key sales and
information technology roles in several large companies such as Sun
Microsystems and Hewlett-Packard. Most recently, he led the Commercial
and Public Sector Enterprise Sales team at HP, which comprised of key
accounts in Banking, Retail, Telecommunications, and the Public
Sector.
As reported in The Nation newspaper, Mr. Marrut will be responsible
for accelerating HDS business growth in Thailand by strengthening and
expanding the company's customer and partner base.
In The Nation report Ravi Rajendran, vice president and general
manager for ASEAN, Hitachi Data Systems, said: "I am thrilled to
