Student exchanges with Clemson University, USA, a possibility

Professor Frank Alexis of Clemson University’s Department of
Bioengineering met with AIT faculty members Dr. Matt Dailey, Dr.
Amararatne Yukupitiyape, Dr. Avishek Datta, and Dr. Peeyush Soni, and
Dr. Gabrielle Groves of the External Relations and Communications
Office.

In particular, Prof. Alexis said he was interested in Clemson
University undergraduate students visiting AIT to be mentored by PhD
students and to participate in their research. He stated it would be an
enriching learning experience for students from America to be involved
in problem-based research undertaken at AIT as well as to benefit from
Institute’s Asian multicultural environment.

Clemson University is a large research university located in Clemson,
South Carolina, United States. Founded in 1889, Clemson University
consists of five colleges: Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences;
Architecture, Arts and Humanities; Business and Behavioral Sciences;
Engineering and Science; and Health, Education and Human
Development.
