Congratulating the successful graduates, Prof. Worsak Kano-Nukulchai,
Interim AIT President asked them to enjoy and cherish the moment, even
as they pay tribute to their professors, donors, and their families who
supported them across this journey. “Internationality is a unique and
endearing legacy of AIT,” Prof. Worsak said as he stated that AIT
alumni are shining examples of success both in the public and private
sector. AIT reaches beyond boundaries, and it has a five-decade long
history of academic excellence, he said.
The Interim President encouraged the successful students to keep in
touch with their alma mater and contribute towards the success story of
AIT.
The 101 graduates included nine doctoral students, along with a
posthumous doctoral degree award to Mr. Sabirullah Muradi of
Afghanistan. Thailand with 34 students constituted the biggest cohort
of students, followed by 22 from Pakistan, 11 from Vietnam and 10 from
Indonesia. Three students each from India, Nepal and People’s Republic
of China also graduated, along with two students from Laos PDR. One
student each from Afghanistan, Albania, Australia, El Salvador, France,
Germany, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and
Uzbekistan were among the successful students.
The graduands were presented by Prof. Sivanappan Kumar, Interim Vice
President for Academic Affairs. Prof. Chettiyappan Visvanathan, Acting
Dean, School of Environment Resources and Development; Dr. Donyaprueth
Krairit, Acting Dean, School of Management; and Dr. Sangam Shrestha of
School of Engineering and Technology presented candidates from their
respective schools.
