Higher education in the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN) was a key talking point of AIT President Said
Irandoust during his recent television appearance on “ASEAN Talks”, an
interview format TV show broadcast across the region on ASEAN
TV.
The president was a guest of the popular program shown nightly in
Thailand via MCOT 2. The program was aired on February 9 and was viewed
simultaneously in all ten ASEAN member nations, according to ASEAN
TV.
During the half hour interview on ASEAN Talks, the AIT
President discussed numerous issues pertaining to higher education in
ASEAN. He also emphasized AIT’s fifty-year contribution to higher
learning and sustainable development in Thailand and the region, and
explained how the Institute is now positioning itself for the future
with many innovative initiatives.
ASEAN TV produces news, entertainment, cultural, sports and tourism
programs in a variety of formats, and in the local language of each
ASEAN country with English subtitles. ASEAN Talks is
broadcast nightly in Thailand at 8:15 pm on True Vision, Channel
99.
