Six companies joined through the Japanese Chamber of Commerce; three
courtesy the German-Thai Chamber of Commerce and one came from the
Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce. Eleven new companies also participated
in the fair. The day was preceded by Career Talk Day on 22 March 2011,
when representatives from 10 companies spoke to students about career
opportunities.
Eighty six students from various universities in Thailand participated
in the Open House, where AIT experts introduced visitors to career
planning and opportunities. The Open House included career talks on
“Further Education through RTG Funding” by Prof. Athapol Noomhom of
School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD); “Drawing Your
Career Path” by Dr. Somkiert Kojchavivong, Head of the Human Resources
Office; and “Successful Job Interview Techniques” by Dr. Nicholas
Dimmit from the School of Management (SOM).
A mini International food fair, which coincided with the Career Fair,
witnessed participation from students from Thailand, Indonesia,
Pakistan and Vietnam.
