AIT 60th Anniversary Celebration in October

This year is the 60th Anniversary of AIT.  We are celebrating all year with a number of events sprinkled throughout.  The highlight of the celebrations will be during October 23-25.

The three days start off on October 23 with the AITAA’s 48th Governing Board Meeting hosted by the Thai chapter. The day ends with a Thai Style Gala Dinner, when university guests, VIPs, ambassadors, alumni will join faculty and students and staff at an evening festive event in Bangkok. Tickets will soon be sold.

On the morning of October 24, HRH Princess Sirindhorn comes to the AIT Campus to preside over the AIT 60th Anniversary Celebration Ceremony. Nine AIT alumni who have contributed significantly to AIT and to society will be inducted into the AIT Hall of Fame. The distinguished keynote speaker will be Professor Joyce McConnell, the new President of Colorado State University—the founding university of AIT.

On that afternoon, 16 university presidents will participate in a President’s Forum titled: “Social Impact with Innovation” (LINK ).

Both events on October 24 are at the Robert B. Banks Auditorium. The October 24 morning event will have limited attendance, but attendance for the Forum will be more open. Both events can be seen live broadcast at the Milton Bender Auditorium.

The three days of celebration is capped off on October 25 with a Homecoming on campus. There will be Open House and distinguished alumni lectures in the morning and a campus-wide family farewell buffet. All are welcome!

Stay tuned for more details as we get close to October 23.  Let’s have a memorable and rousing celebration of our 60th Anniversary!
