Prof. Shrestha served AIT for 27 years. He has received several awards
for his publication including the Energy Journal’s best paper award
conferred by the International Association for Energy Economics. He
also received the “Highly Commended Award” from the Emerald Literati
Network for his paper published in the International Journal of Energy
Sector Management. He is credited with 86 articles in refereed
International Journals, four books and four book chapters. The Scopus
database shows 294 citations with an H-Index of eight.
Prof. Shrestha joined AIT as a research consultant and later became a
research scientist. He was appointed Assistant Professor in 1987, and
was promoted to the position of Associate Professor in 1992. He became
a Professor in 1999. He has also served as Chairman of AIT’s Academic
Senate.
