Director, AIT Extension, Dr. Jonathan Shaw remarked that the workshop
would pave the way for more e-learning initiatives.
Leading the workshop is Mr.
Vinay Kumar Vishwanath,
Senior Specialist, Instructional Design, TIS, who traced
the outline of development of e-courseware. He highlighted that content
has to be precise, concise, meaningful and immersive in order to
achieve desired results. The three-day workshop, which was attended by
staff from AIT Extension, is targeted at onsite training, and knowledge
transfer through standards and guidelines, documents, templates, and
other assets.
Dr. Sundar Venkatesh, Advisor, AIT Extension said that while the
training is a part of the online course development for the
Professional Master’s in Banking and Finance (PMBF), the workshop seeks
to train everyone in various aspects of instructional design. The
project involves design and onsite training; and course development
including job shadowing and independent work.
