Unified Bachelor-Master program launched in India

This program allows students to complete both Bachelor’s and Master’s
degree in a period of five years, as opposed to a regular period of six
years. Students spend their first four years at SHIATS, and they move
to AIT in the fifth year to complete the Master’s program. The
Bachelor’s degree will be awarded by SHIATS and the Master's degree
will be awarded by AIT.

Dr. Weerakorn complimented the enrolled students for participating in
this unique program. He also expressed AIT’s willingness to strengthen
its partnership with SHIATS. Among those who attended the meeting
included Prof. Derick Denis, former Director of Research; Prof. Henry
Shepherd, Dean of the School of Engineering and Technology; and Prof.
M. Imtiyaz. Vice-Chairman of the International Secretariat Prof. M.
Imtiyaz. Earlier, Dr. Peeyush Soni introduced the program outline and
highlighted the salient features of UBMP.
