Prof. Kitawaki expressed his interest in student exchange, double
degree, and two-stage undergraduate programs, besides joint research
projects.
Toyo University was one
of the partner universities which hosted AIT students in the aftermath
of the flood of October 2011.
Prof. Kitawaki was accompanied by Dr. Gaku Manago, Assistant Professor
and five students including one doctoral student Ms. Kumiko Nuki, two
Master’s students Mr. Kokichi Tahara and Ms. Yumiko Kato, and two
undergraduate students Ms. Chie Yamada and Ms. Ayumi Kuzumaki.
Prof. Irandoust thanked Prof. Kitawaki for inviting him to attend the
125th Anniversary of Toyo University in November this year.
From AIT, Prof. Mukand S. Babel, and Dr. Sangam Shrestha of Water
Engineering and Management (WEM), School of Engineering and Technology
(SET); Mr. Ahmed Amjad Ali, Head of External Relations and
Communications Officer (ERCO); Ms. Sumana Shrestha, Program Officer,
ERCO; Ms. Supitcha Thaikaew and Ms. Kanjanawan Nilklud, Master’s
students of WEM, also attended the meeting. Prior to this meeting,
Prof. Kitawaki and the delegation met members of WEM field of study.
They also met the Dean of SET, Dr. Nitin V. Afzulpurkar.
