The agreement was signed by the AIT President Said Irandoust with Mr.
C.R. Swaminathan, Chief Executive, PSG Institutions at Coimbatore
(India) recently. After signing the agreement, AIT President Said
Irandoust stated that he was sure the PSG institute will be an
excellent partner for AIT for future collaboration.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Mr. G. Rangaswamy,
Managing Trustee, PSG and Sons’ Charities; Dr. R. Rudramoorthy,
Principal PSG College of Technology and Polytechnic College; Mr. Ravi
Selvan, Vice President PSG Tech Alumni Association; Dr. A. Vadivel
Murugan, Professro, PSGIAS and Mr. Manoj Kumar, Senior Lecturer,
PSGIAS. Apart from Prof Irandoust, AIT was represented by Prof. Joydeep
Dutta, Director of the Nanotechnology Center of Excellence (AIT) and
Prof. Gabor L. Hornyak, Visiting Professor, Nanotechnology Center of
Excellence (AIT).
PSG College of Technology was
founded in 1951 by PSG &
Sons Charities and has over eight decades of presence in the field
of education in India. It is regarded as one of the top engineering
institutions in India. It has been ranked among the top 15 engineering
schools and top three private engineering colleges in India.
AIT’s nanotechnology programs offer a unique blend of
cross-disciplinary teaching with an integrated curriculum. At present,
the Nanotechnology Master’s programme is also being taught jointly with
Vishwakarma School of
International Studies (VSIS), Pune, India. The Center of
