Book Co-edited by Prof. Hadikusumo wins Taylor and Francis Award for Outstanding Monograph in Engineering

A book co-edited by AIT’s Prof. Bonaventura H. W. Hadikusumo titled Construction Health and Safety in Developing Countries recently won the 2019 Outstanding Taylor & Francis Book and Digital Product Award in the Monograph Category for Engineering. The award was announced in June 2020.

Construction Health and Safety in Developing Countries is also edited by Dr. Patrick Manu, Senior Lecturer in Project Management at the University of Manchester, UK; Prof. Fidelis Emuze, Professor and head of the Department of Built Environment, Central University of Technology, South Africa; and Dr. Tarcisio Saurin, Associate Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department of the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

The volume includes 39 contributors, and explains the current understanding of construction health and safety in developing countries by exploring context-specific issues and challenges. Coverage includes countries from the regions of sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe.

Dr. Hadikusumo is a professor of Construction, Engineering and Infrastructure Management (CEIM) at the AIT School of Engineering and Technology. Taylor and Francis is one of the world’s leading publishers of scholarly journals, books, eBooks, textbooks and reference works.
