Odisha University Vice Chancellor visits AIT

Dr. Mohanty stated that among the innovations in his University
included a banking simulation laboratory which provides practical
experience to students and practitioners. The University is also
working on a behavioral sciences laboratory and a Total Quality
Management (TQM) laboratory.

Welcoming Dr. Mohanty, AIT’s Vice President for Academic Affairs,
Prof. I.M.Pandey elaborated on the academic and research work at the
Institute. He mentioned the Doctoral in Business Administration (DBA)
program as an innovative AIT program. Prof. Pandey suggested that the
two universities could consider collaboration on a dual degree, joint
degree and integrated Bachelor-Master’s program.

Dr. Nitin Kumar Tripathi, Associate Dean, School of Engineering and
Technology (SET) provided an overview of the three thematic areas of
SET, which includes Information and Communication Technologies, Civil
and Infrastructure Engineering, and Industrial Systems Engineering.
Prof. S.S.Mahapatra, visiting faculty, and Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal, Senior
Program Officer, External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO)
also attended the meeting.
