Good opportunity to rebuild AIT: alumni

Interacting with senior AIT officials, the Thai alumni spent nearly
two hours visiting various academic building, laboratories in AIT's
School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and School of Environment,
Resources and Development (SERD), AIT Conference Center, AIT
International school, library, administration building and residential
areas.

AIT officials also clarified and answered concerns raised by Thai
alumni regarding the present temporary locations, and its plan to
rebuild the AIT main campus. The alumni recommended that renovation
should be carried out only on those buildings which are either new or
in a good condition despite the flood.

Dr. Thammarat Koottatep of SERD and Chair of the Campus Rehabilitation
Task Force on Natural Environment, Dr. Sun Sayamipuk, Head of Contract
Management Office (CMO), Dr. H.L. Tien, Head of Alumni Affairs and
other AIT staff were among those who welcomed the alumni.

The visit also included a question and answer session, exchange of
ideas and concerns about the future of AIT. On behalf of AIT, Dr. Tien
thanked all individuals and AIT alumni who have been providing support
in cash and kind, and the moral support to AIT. He also thanked them
for spending their valuable time to visit AIT.
