The Asian Institute of Technology has signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) with Vietnam’s University of Transport and

educational, research and outreach programs.

Prof. Said Irandoust, President of AIT, as presented
by Prof. Vilas Wuwongse (photo above, right), Vice

programs for both undergraduate and graduate levels. The cooperation
will involve operation of a Joint Degree Program, Dual Degree Program,
Unified Bachelor’s ─ Master’s Degree Program, and a Unified Master’s ─
Doctoral Degree Program. The deal also paves the way for cooperation
for the establishment of the Asian Institute of Technology Center in
Vietnam (AITCV) to be located on the UTC campus in Hanoi.
At the signing ceremony, Prof. Tran Dac Su said that
international cooperation was an important component of UTC’s mission.
The MoU will allow for the exchange of staff members and students;
collaboration in postgraduate training; research collaboration in the
areas of mutual interest to both institutions; and exchanges of
academic materials through websites and journals.
