On 28 January, 2009, Iranian educator, Dr. Ramin
Najizadeh, Director of the Master Programs Department of the
Industrial Management Institute (IMI) and Dr. Khalid
Shebli, Director of IMI -MBA Program Western Region, also from
IMI met with AIT President, Prof. Said
Irandoust. Joining the president in this meeting was
Dr. Pritam K. Shrestha, Head-External Relations and
Communication (ERCO) and Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal,
Program officer, ERCO.
Much of the discussions made during the meeting was on the
developments of joint research projects and increased enrollment of IMI
Iranians at AIT for masters and doctoral programs.
These initiatives were first discussed during the AIT president’s
visit last year.
Details on developing joint research projects and enrolling Iranian
Students through IMI at AIT for Master and Doctoral programs were
further discussed.
During the visit they also met with Prof. Sudip
Rakshi, Vice President for Research, Dr. Barbara
Igel, Dean SOM, Prof. John Tang, SOM
Representative for Iran Task Force and Ms. Naina
Shakya, Coordinator, Partner Relations & Development,
ERCO.
“I am very keen to develop partnership with AIT and the discussion
with Dr. Barbara Igel, Prof. Tang and Ms. Naina this afternoon at SOM
was successful. Possible collaborations could be start with joint MBA
and DBA programs possibly by January 2010 intake”, said Dr. Ramin
(IMI).
