AIT Renews Cooperation with Vietnam
Aimed to enhancing the capacity of scientific and technical staff needed for the industrialization and modernization of Vietnam, AIT and the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) have recently agreed to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement for a collaborative education program.
The AIT Acting President, Professor Mario T. Tabucanon, and Professor Tran Van Nhung, Vice Minister of MOET-Vietnam, signed the Memorandum of Agreement between MOET and AIT on 14 March 2005 at the AIT-Vietnam premises in Hanoi.
According to the agreement, MOET will provide 25 scholarships for the education of 25 Vietnamese students under the two-stage masters program in Industrial Systems Engineering, Information Technology and Environmental Technology and Management, as well as several scholarships to Vietnamese candidates who have passed the national examinations and have chosen AIT for their graduate programs.

On the same visit, the AIT Acting President, Professor Mario T. Tabucanon, also signed Memoranda of Understanding between Petrovietnam and AIT, and between Project 300, Ho Chi Minh City and AIT. The objectives of these agreements are to provide opportunities in postgraduate studies and training for Petrovietnam and P300 staff in the fields of study available at AIT.
