Prof. Sarah obtained her B. Tech. from University of Kerala, India, M. Tech. and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, India. She has research interests in Electronic & Communication, Communication Systems & High Frequency Techniques and Digital Signal Processing.

Dr. Keebom Kang (left) is appointed as Visiting Associate Professor. Dr. Kang is currently an Associate Professor at Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. (IE) from Purdue in 1984. During his stay at AIT for 2 months, he will share a course AT72.11 Modelling and Simulation of Discrete Event Systems. Prof. Ioan D. Marinescu (right) is appointed as Visiting Professor, and seconded by Fulbright Foundation. Currently he is a Professor, and
Director of Precision Micro-Machining Center (PMMC) at University of
Toledo, Ohio, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. (ME) from University of Galatzi,
Romania in 1991. During his stay at AIT for the period of 6 months, he
will share a course AT73.09 Assembly Processes and Systems, will develop a
new course: Precision Micro/Nano Manufacturing Engineering, and establish
an Abrasive Micro-Machining Laboratory. Prof. Marinescu can be contacted

Dr. Kishore N. Mistry (left) is appointed as Visiting Professor, and
seconded by the Government of India. Currently he is a Professor and Head
of Mechanical Engineering Dept., S V National Institute of Technology,
Surat, Gujarat, India. He obtained his Ph.D. (ME) from IIT Delhi in 1993,
and MSc. (Tribology) from Leeds University, UK in 1980. During his stay at
AIT for the period Jan-May 04, he will share a course AT73.09 Assembly

The School of Environment, Resources and Development welcomes Dr. B. C. Meikap (right), from India as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Environmental Engineering and Management Field of Study, seconded by the Government of India.
Dr. Meikap received his B. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) from University of Calcutta in 1989, M. Tech. (Chemical Engineering) and Ph.D (Chemical Engineering) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1992 and 2000 respectively. Prior to AIT, he was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India and -working as a faculty member there since 1991.
Dr. Meikap's main research interests include: Industrial Pollution Control & Hazardous Waste Management; Safety in Chemical Process Plant, Multi-Phase Flow and Chemical Reaction Engineering. He has received the following National Awards: Innovation Potential of Students Projects (Doctoral Level) Award-2002' by Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in 2002, Dr. A. V. Rama Rao Foundation's Best Ph. D. Thesis and Research Award in Chemical Engineering/Technology for the Year 2002' by Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers ( IIChE) (2002), Best paper Award of Indian Institute of Public Health Engineers (India). Dr. Meikap has conducted few consultancy and R&D; Projects of Government of India and other sectors. His research has been published in a International publications in Journal and received one Indian Patent. Dr. Meikap is a Life Member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE), IPHE, CSI, IE(I) , ISTE, IIM and Honorary Secretary of RRC of IIChE.
