AIT, Thammasat, Science Park forge new collaborations
To enhance the collaboration between AIT, Thammasat University and Science Park/National Science and Technology Development Agency, the campus subcommittee holds monthly meetings. Representing AIt in this committee, Dr. Hoang Le Tien,
head of Infrastructure Office, who would like to update the AIT community with some new developments as follows:
To prevent trespassing Science Park will build a temporary fence between AIT and Science Park until the construction in its side is finished, which may take
about two years. Science Park will also add more guards to the area which is being transferred from AIT to Science Park and under construction. Subsequently, Science Park will set up a permanent security system in this area.
To improve the security of three campuses, AIT will allow Science Park and Thammasat to set up a temporary barrier/checkpoint at the entrance of the AIT
local road section between the AIT Main Gate and Gate No. 3. Science Park will hire the security guards to work at the designated checkpoint around the
clocks. This operation will last until the construction in Science Park is over. In addition the three institutions' security systems will have one common radio frequency for their communication.
The subcommittee has agreed for AIT to build a permanent staircases/footpath between AIT and Thammasat local roads in front of the AIT Gate No. 2.
There will be first annual sport and fun games between the three institutions hosted by Thammasat tentatively in May 2006. The organizing committee is about
to be established. Look for future updates on this activity about the preparation and related matters.
Thammasat offers its sport complex at the same membership rate as of the university staff's family to AIT and Science Park personnel. The details and
