College of Agriculture launches Unified Program in Agriculture Business Management with AIT

The program allows students enrolled in all four universities of 
Maharashtra to be eligible for admission through the Maharashtra
Council Of Agriculture Education And Research (MCAER). While students
will study for their Bachelor's program in their host university in
India, AIT will offer them a Master’s program in Agriculture Business
Management (MABM).

Announcing the formal launch of MABM, Sharad Pawar stated that the
College of Agriculture has initiated numerous collaborative programs
with renowned international universities. Enrolling in international
programs will help students acquire additional skills, he
remarked.  Ms. Supriya Sule, Member of Parliament congratulated
the College for initiating the MABM program, while  Dr. K.P.
Vishwanatha, Vice Chancellor, Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV),
Rahuri, Maharashtra elaborated on the curriculum and scope of the
program.

Also attending the program were Mr. Ajit Pawar, Member of Legislative
Assembly; Dr. J.V. Patil, Director General, MCAER; Mr. Ram Kharche,
Vice President, MCAER; Dr. B.R. Ulmek, Dean, MPKV, Rahuri; Dr. D. B.
Yadav, Head, Department of Agricultural Economics, MPKV, Rahuri; all
trustees of Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati; and
representatives of other Agricultural and allied Colleges of
Maharashtra and students. AIT was represented by Dr. Peeyush Soni of
School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD).
