On April 22 Dr. Manukid Parnichkun delivered a talk on Robotics Research at AIT to the ICT Industry Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. The talk was enthusiastically received with the Chamber members expressing their desire to follow up with a field trip to visit AIT to see the Robotics Lab and other ICT projects first hand. Among the attendees at the talk was the Director of FabriNet, who expressed interest in having AIT develop some professional degree and training programs for his employees in the area of Mechatronics and in Management. Arrangements for the talk were made by Professor Peter Haddawy, Vice President for Academic Affairs. The below is a quote from the Chair of the ICT Committee following the presentation made by Dr. Manukid:
"I wanted to again express my thanks for your fascinating presentation this morning. None of us had any idea of the scope of your work, which is quite amazing. Either later this year, or as a part of an annual ongoing series on your work next year, we’d love to visit AIT and see some of your robots in action."
