Visiting AIT
On 31 May 2005, H.E. Mrs. Maria Luisa Fernandez (above, second from left), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentuary, The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand met with Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Acting President and Provost. The Acting President was joined in the meeting by Dr. Tess del Rosario (below, right), Acting Dean/ AIT Extension; Mr. Karma Rana, Institute Secretary; Mr. Benjamin A. Gargabite (below, left), Director of Admissions and Scholarships; Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal and Ms. Hnin Aye Lwin, Program Officers of the Office of the President.
The visit aims to strengthen the collaboration between AIT and the Republic of Cuba. The Acting President presented the Institute's academic offerings and activities, research facilities and relevant developments to H. E. Mrs. Maria Luisa Fernandez and the AIT Campus.
H.E. Ambassador Fernandez is the first Ambassador of Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to Thailand and she has been in Bangkok for eight months. The Embassy of the Republic of Cuba was established one year ago.
