On Wednesday, 21 May, President Irandoust met with Mr. Syed Monzur Hussain Bokhari,
President of the AITAA Bangladesh Chapter who was accompanied by
Mr. M.A. Sobhan, Managing
Director, Design Planning and Management Consultants Ltd. and Mr.
Sobhan, who is an AIT alumnus. They presented cheques totaling US$
1,825 as a contribution to AIT’s fundraising campaign. Dr. Khin
Ni Ni Thein, Vice President for Development and Resources, Mr. Sanjeev
Jayasinghe, Director Fund Raising Campaign, and Ms. Manjulika Bhatia,
from the fundraising team, were also present on this occasion. The
amount presented to GJFC is one of the initial amounts received by the
AITAA Bangladesh Chapter from the pledges made. Mr. Bokhari mentioned
that he would continue to contact other alumni from Bangladesh
to contribute towards the fundraising campaign for the Institute.
