The ADB delegation visited AIT on 15 February.
During the visit of ADB delegation, the AIT administration and faculty members provided a detailed overview on AIT, the institute's strategic development plan, new governance and ownership model, status of the ADB-AIT networking project, initiatives in Knowledge Management (Dr. Paul Janecek), Progress on ADB-AIT Knowledge Hub Program on 3R (Professor S. Kumar, Dean, SERD), capacity building proposal for education in ICT in Azerbaijan and capacity building proposal for Central Asia etc.
Vice President Preuss expressed ADB's expectations on the role of regional institution like AIT. The meeting also proposed the ADB Institute in Japan which will be further working on. The delegation also had an interaction session with around 22 of the ADB-Japan Scholarship recipients who had an opportunity to provide feedback on their experiences at AIT and raise questions and suggestions to the ADB delegation with regard to the ADB scholarship program and ways in which it could be further enhanced.
