Infrastructure survey numbers nil, few respondents feedback made as guide

The Infrastructure Office would like to convey its thanks to those who have spared their time to reply to the survey conducted by the office. The summary of the results is as follows:

The survey was conducted from 16 January - 16 February 2007, and sent via email to target respondents - faculty, staff and students.

Only 16 filled-out survey forms were received by email, campus mail and retrieved from the survey box. This number is nil and is not significant at all to conduct an analysis and come up with any conclusion.

However, the comments and feedbacks given by the respondents can be considered and may be used to serve as a guide on how the units under Infrastructure Office can be improved. The comments are widely varied and dealt on a wide range of areas under the responsibility of individual units. The emphasis is mainly on the following areas: customer relationship, technical skills, response time, quality of service and communication skills. In general, all the six units of the Infrastructure Office need to strengthen on the above-mentioned areas where they are perceived to be weak.

There are also some positive feedbacks on the friendliness of some units. Some respondents said they appreciate the sending of related information to them via email.

The Infrastructure Office will likewise consider using a more appropriate survey methodology in order to achieve the required number of respondents for more significant information.
