AIT witnesses the presentation of a Doctoral Degree from the University of Durham upon HM the King of Thailand
On 21 February 2007, AIT was invited together with Chulalongkorn University to the royal audience granted to the delegation of the University of Durham for the presentation of the Degree of Doctor of Civil Law upon His Majesty the King of Thailand at the Chitralada Villa.
Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, was honored to have the rare privilege to be granted the royal audience by His Majesty the King of Thailand and to represent AIT at this ceremony. On this occasion, he provided an update on the progress of AIT charter to H.E. Mr. Nitya Pibulsonggram, Minister of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Thailand, who was also present at the ceremony. Likewise he expressed his thanks to H.E. Minister Nitya for the continuous guidance and support provided to AIT by MOFA.
