Cross Cultural Learning Camp on campus

Sponsored by the Royal Thai Government Coordination Office and in
cooperation with the AIT Student Union, a Cross Cultural Learning Camp
will be held at the Asian Institute of Technology on 1 - 3 August
2008.

This activity will involve over 50 undergraduate Thai students
from approximately 10 neighboring Thai universities. By allowing
the participants to stay on campus and experience the unique
ambiance of learning and living at AIT, the organizers aim to
share and foster an appreciation of the cultural diversity
inherent in AIT.

Through different activities and programs, the Cross Cultural Camp
will also aim to present AIT's role in post-graduate education in
the region. The camp also aims to show how AIT can mould aspiring
leaders of the region into competent and confident professionals.
There will also be select activities wherein the importance of
communicating in English will be tackled. One of the goals of this
project is to spark an interest in studying at AIT while motivating the
participants to learn new cultures and in turn hone ability to
communicate in English.
