Thirty-four companies participate in AIT Career Fair

Welcoming the participants, AIT’s Vice President for Academic Affairs,
Prof. Sivanappan Kumar stated that the Career Fair provides a platform
to students and companies to network, and explore career possibilities.
While organizations can meet students who hail from different countries
and come from diverse backgrounds; students can pursue possibilities of
job vacancies, placements and internships. He also asked participating
organizations to interact with AIT faculty members to investigate the
possibility of joint research.

Dr. Naveed Anwar, Executive Director, AIT Solutions, spoke about the
forthcoming “AIT Research Competition.” He mentioned the competition is
a platform for AIT researchers to develop their research and business
ideas to scalable solutions by working with industry experts and
venture capitalists. He invited participating companies to contribute
their expertise to the research competition.

Ms. Joan Carla C. Gonzales, Coordinator, Career Center and Student
Affairs, stated that 34 companies had participated in the event. They

Five companies also held campus interviews, namely, Cal-Comp
Electronics Thailand PCL, Axentel Thailand Co. Ltd., Pylon PCL, RJC
Soft SRL, and Thai Reinsurance PCL. A motivational talk on “The
Journey: From AIT to being an Entrepreneur, Investor, Advisor,” was
delivered by AIT alumnus (1995) and CEO of Angaros Group, Singapore,
Mr. Avalur Madhu.

The event was organized in conjunction with a Research Exhibition led
by the AIT Students' Union. Students showcased their prototypes and
posters of their academic and research work being conducted at
AIT.
