AIT, TBF reinstate partnership
The Bridge Fund (TBF) expressed its interest in continuing the partnership with AIT during the visit of Ms. Monica Gary, Executive Director and Ms. Camille Richard, Program Director from The Bridge Fund (TBF) to AIT on 1 March 2007.
The TBF representatives also expressed their appreciation to Government of France for its support extended to ethnic Tibetans from China to further their studies at AIT. There are currently three ethnic Tibetans enrolled at AIT through TBF with the support of French Government.
TBF plans to send more students to AIT and is exploring various opportunities in partnership with different governments and international organizations including the Government of the People's Republic of China. TBF has been working closely with the Chinese government in the development of the western region of China especially in the areas of community and education development in the remote areas where ethnic Tibetans in China reside.
