First meeting of the Steering Committee for the Services Science Program announced

The first meeting of the steering committee for the 'Services Science Collaboration Program' will take place on 19 April 2007 and is aimed at setting the objectives and directions of services science for Thailand with the outcomes to be presented at a 'Services Science Roadmap Workshop' which will be held 25-28 April 2007.

Mrs. Sunicha Eckachai, Business Development Manager, IBM Academic Initiative Program, on 5 April 2007 met with Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President, and Prof. Vilas Wuwongse, Vice President for External Relations, to discuss the setting up of the steering and working committees for the 'Services Science Collaboration Program'. The nomination of representatives from the partnering institutions to the steering and working committees and ways in which the program could be further developed and made effective were also discussed.

The program was established through the joint signing of an MoU on 1 February 2007 between IBM Thailand, AIT, and a group of other leading Thai academic and scientific organizations such as Chulalongkorn, Thammasat and NSTDA.
