AIT to have joint research collaboration with Ume University, Sweden
AIT will be further strengthening its research work in the field of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) and Polyaromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH) in the region in collaboration with Ume University, Sweden. Under this partnership Dr. Per-Anders Bergqvist from Ume University will be working closely with AIT faculty members Dr. Preeda Parkpian and Dr. Thi Kim Oanh in joint research projects aimed at increasing the activity in the area of fate, analysis and sampling of environmental contaminants in tropical areas in order to increase the sustainable development by best available practice in treatment and remediation. POPs is also one of the core areas of partnership identified under AIT's collaboration with the United Nations University (UNU), Tokyo, in which Professor Ajit Annachhatre has been taking the lead.
