AIT's Microelectronics Students join Infineon's SMCP

Selected students from the Microelectronics Program, School of Engineering and Technologies (SET), AIT recently joined the Infineon Technologies Ltd. Student MemberChip Program (SMCP) launch in Singapore. The students who were given an all expense paid trip to join the event were Awinash Anand, Kasorn Galajit, Anand Padmanabhan, Syed Hassan Mujtaba Jaffrey, Quratul Ain Naqvi, Jessada Kanjana, Sujira Promminit, Wasinee Mamanee & Md. Arif Hassan

The event was held on 1-2 Dec. 2005 at Infineon's Asia Pacific Center. The program started with a welcome note by the Mr. Pow Tien Tee, Infineon's Regional President & Managing Director. A 'Meet the expert' session followed having Mr. Michael, Mr. Ban Hock, Mr. Biju & Mr. Timothy, presenting on the semiconductor product development process & IC development activities.

The students visit enabled them to visit the development center tour and the plant tour that gave a good exposure to the latest developments in the semiconductor industry. Noteworthy of their visit was the business simulation training where they understand the integration between the management and technical fields. The students got an excellent experience about the various aspects of team bonding, team link bustle during the 2nd day SMCP event held on 2 Dec. 2005.
