Prof. Jerome Karle marks AIT Nobel Laureates lecture series debut
Prof. Jerome Karle (left), Nobel Laureate for Chemistry will lecture at AIT on Wednesday, November 26, 2003 marking the Nobel Laureates and eminent persons lecture series debut at AIT.
Prof. Karle will speak on 'The Role of Science and Technology in The Quest for a World at Peace.' The lecture will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the AIT Conference Center Auditorium followed by a Q&A; session.
Prof. Karle's research has been concerned with crystal structure analysis,
the diffraction theory and its application to the determination of atomic
arrangements in various states of aggregation. One of his concerns has been the
future of this planet and the need to protect its resources and its population
in a caring way.
Interested persons who would like to see Prof. Karle and talk more about his work or share their research efforts with him can join him at a reception after his lecture hosted in his honor in the AIT Conference Center Dining Hall.
