SAT doctoral student receives award
A student of Space Technology, Applications and Research (STAR) Program doctoral student, School of Advanced Technologies (SAT) - Ms. Daroonwan Kamthonkiat (RSD019869) (left) - were among the six young scientists who received the 'Best Speaker Award' during the recent Asian Conference on Remote Sensing in Busan, Korea.
The award recognizes outstanding presentations during the conference. Ms. Daroowan's presentation, titled 'Time Series Analysis of SPOT Vegetation Instrument Data for Identifying Agricultural Pattern of Irrigated and Non-Irrigated Rice in Supanburi Province, Thailand' was selected among 500 papers presented in the program during the four-day parallel technical session. Recipients of the award received a certificate and a SONY MD player.
In his congratulatory message, Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President said, 'I believe this is a very well-deserved recognition of your competence and expertise. It gives me great pleasure to extend to you, on behalf of the AIT Community, our congratulations for this accomplishment.'
