UEEM reappointed as WHO Collaborating Center

The Urban Environmental Engineering and Management program has been re-appointed by the World Health Organization as a WHO Collaborating Center in the field of Water Supply and Waste Disposal for a period of four years.

Professor Chettiyappan Visvanathan, the UEEM Program Coordinator, will head the Center's activities. These include performing basic and applied research on community water supply and waste disposal; conducting studies on behalf of WHO, and WHO's member states and development partners; educating and training engineers, scientists and health professionals in the filed of water supply and waste disposal, and related areas of interest; and related academic and professional activities.
