Visiting AIT

On 8 June 2005, H.E. Mr. Yongyut Tiyapairat (center), Minister of the
Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), made a visit to AIT and
toured the Queen Sirikit Arboretum Garden to which he discussed the possibility
to provide support.

In a group photo, the Minister is seen with from left: Prof. Athapol Noomhorm
and Dr. Edward L. Webb from SERD; Dr. H.L. Tien, Associate Registrar for Community
Affairs; Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, AIT Acting President; Prof. A.T.M.N. Amin
of SERD; Dr. Monthip Sriratana Tabucanon, Inspector General of MNRE; Dr. Chaiyaphol
Kaewprakaisaengkul; and Mr. John Parr of WWF.

On the next day, 9 June 2005, the AIT community also welcomed a delegation
from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE), led by
Mr. Petipong Pungbun Na Ayudhya, Permanent Secretary of MNRE, who made
a tour of the Queen Sirikit Arboretum Garden and conducted a tree planting.

On 21 June 2005, Dr. Edilberto C. de Jesus (third from left), Director
of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), Regional
Centre for Educational Innovation and Technology
, and Mrs. de Jesus (fourth
from left) made a visit to AIT to discuss academic cooperation with AIT administration,
led by Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon (second from left), Acting President. Also seen
welcoming them are from left: Mr. Karma Rana, Institute Secretary; Dr. Teresita
Cruz-del Rosario, Dean of AIT Extension; and Dr. Nazrul Islam, Acting Dean of
SOM.

On 22 June 2005, a delegation from Siam Cement Public Company Ltd. led
by Mr. Kan Trakulhoon (second from left), Executive Vice President; Mr.
Roongrote Rangsiyopash
(third from left), Corporate Planning Director; and
Mr. Manoon Sunkunakorn (left), Corporate Human Resources Director, visited
AIT to discuss the possibility of recruiting AIT graduates to work with Siam
Cement.

The delegation was welcomed by Prof. Mario T. Tabucanon, Acting President,
Prof. Himangshu Paul of SOM; Dr. Voratas Kachitvichyanukul of SAT; Dr. Bonaventura
Hadikusumo of SCE; Mr. Karma Rana, Institute Secretary; and Ms. Ann Lopez of
SCE.

The Delegation from Siam Cement Public Co. Ltd is seen touring the Structural
Engineering Laboratory, SCE.
