AIT's 96th Graduation Ceremony
On December 19, 2002, AIT?s 96th Graduation Ceremony to 191 students from 22 countries was held at the AIT Conference Center. Prof. Jean-Louis Armand, AIT President presided over the ceremony.
Among the 191 (21 doctoral and 170 master) graduates, 151 are from the School of Advanced Technologies, 24 from the School of Environment, Resources and Development, 8 from the School of Civil Engineering, and 8 from the School of Management. They are 21 doctoral graduate sand 170 master?s graduates.
The total number of AIT alumni now stands at 11986, with the largest number of 3125 coming from Thailand.
To mark the 96th Graduation Day, AIT invited H.E. Mr. Pok Than, Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambodia, as the guest speaker to deliver the Graduation address. H.E. Mr. Pok Than obtained Master of Social Welfare (MSW), University of California at Los Angeles, U.S.A., and Master of Science in Education (MS in Ed.)from the University of Southern California, U.S.A. He served as Vice Chairperson of Human Rights Commission, National Assembly, Cambodia in 1998 and President of the Center for Social Development, Phnom Penh, from June 1995-May 1998. He was also an Executive Director of United Cambodia Community, Inc., Long Beach, California from March 1984-November 1992.
