AIT collaborates with APD-IAHR in holding its 12th Congress
Under the theme, 'Sustainable Water Resources Management: Issues and Future Challenges,' the Asia and Pacific Division (APD) of the International Association for Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR), and AIT's Water Engineering and Management Program/School of Civil Engineering have jointly organized the 12th APD-IAHR Congress. The Congress opened on 13 November and will be held until 16 November at the Windsor Suites Hotel in Bangkok. AIT helped organize the 1st and 4th APD-IAHR Congress.
About APD-IAHR
The APD-IAHR seeks to stimulate basic and applied research to increase knowledge in the fields of hydraulic engineering and water resources management, and to promote the professional competence of individuals engaged in these sciences and their applications to the hydrosphere. These objectives are pursued through the organization of a Congress biannually.
In the very recent past, the concepts and ideas about water and water resources management have been viewed in different perspectives. With the onset of a new millennium, this realization has necessitated a review of past practices in hydraulic engineering and water resources management. The 12th Congress provides a platform for practitioners and researchers from all over the world to share their knowledge and experiences.
