SAT's ISE Program Doctoral Student Receives
Award in Europe
Siriluk Sansomboonsuk (MTC 028204), a Doctoral student of Mechatronics, Industrial System Engineering Program, School of Advanced Technologies (SAT) received the 'The Best Oral Presentation of Paper' award at the 16th DAAAM International Symposium. The event was held at Opatija, Croatia, from 19 to 22 October 2005 and themed as 'Intelligent Manufacturing & Automation: Focus on Young Researcher and Scientists.'
Her award winning presentation titled 'A Computer Vision System for Rice Kernel Quality Evaluation' was selected among 150 papers presented in the program during the two-day parallel technical session. The award recognizes the outstanding presentation of Khun Siriluk during the conference and the guidance and discipline of Dr Nitin V Afzulpurkar, Associate Professor, Mechatronics, ISE/SAT and her advisor.
Awardees for this year are automatically seated as Committee Members for next year's symposium which will be held in October 2006 in Vienna, Austria.
