Professor D. T. Bergado returns from sabbatical
AIT welcomes back Professor D. T. Bergado, who has completed his sabbatical as Visiting Professor at the Institute of Lowland Technology, Saga University, Japan.
Professor Bergado has been very active during his sabbatical, participating in the graduate research projects related to geo-environmental problems in the Ariake Bay Tidal Flat Mud Deposits. At the same time, he also lectured extensively at other universities such as Yamaguchi, Kumamoto, Nagaoka, and Ibaraki, to both master's and doctoral students on the latest techniques for soil improvement and geosynthetics. Professor Bergado also promoted the Institute and facilitated partnership agreements with Saga (and the above mentioned universities) on the development of joint double degree master's programs with AIT.
