The Dean of the School of Engineering (SET), Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, recently unveiled a report on some of the School’s performance indicators and goals for the coming years. The report indicated that SET's August 2007 student intake was up almost 60% over that of the previous year. Dean Worsak was also pleased to note that the average grade-point average (GPA) of Thai students entering the School was the highest it has been in the last five years. According to the report, SET is expecting a net operating surplus of more than Baht 24 million by the end of the year. The strategic plan of the School for 2008 covers improvement and initiation of four aspects: quality of student support, quality of capacity, income generation, and new ventures.
