Reports on donors/brainstorming meetings available online
On 7 and 8 June, AIT hosted two meetings with key partners and donors to discuss the draft of the institute-wide five-year strategic development plan. Two overriding conclusions AIT can draw from both meetings are that the institute must ensure its financial stability and it must do a better job marketing itself to the public if it is to achieve the goals in the plan, which overall were deemed excellent by meeting attendees. One additional general conclusion to be drawn from the meetings is that there are no magic bullets to solve AIT's current situation.
The 7 June meeting included 13 guests from the private sector, mainly from Thailand. The 8 June meeting included nine ambassadors to Thailand and 18 other representatives from a total of 17 countries. Approximately 15 people, including the president, vice presidents, deans, alumni, staff and a student, represented AIT on both days.
