International Symposium on Geotechnical Engineering Ground Improvement and Geosynthetics for Human Security and Environmental Preservation

On 6 December 2007, AIT President Said Irandoust attended the "International Symposium on Geotechnical Engineering Ground Improvement and Geosynthetics for Human Security and Environmental Preservation". The event was organized by AIT's Asian Center for Soil Improvement and Geosynthetics (ACSIG), School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and its partners, which include: the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), Thailand Chapter; Southeast Asian Geotechnical Society (SEAGS); King Mongkut's University of Technology (KMUTT); and the Department of Environmental Quality and Promotion in the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), Thailand. The event was supported by the International Geosynthetic Society (IGS) and the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
