A Sri Lankan newspaper publishes SOM’s DBA launch

On Wednesday, 20 September, the launching of AIT’s School of Management’s new program – Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) was published in Financial Times, a Sri Lankan Newspaper, after the launching ceremony held at Mt. Lavinia hotel, Sri Lanka on 18 September 2006.

SOM’s DBA program is for senior professional managers/administrators and is intended to create a body of knowledge embedded in practice. The first DBA program is being offered at AIT Campus in Thailand and Sri Lanka at the International College of Business and Technology (ICBT) Campus.

The launching ceremony was presided over by Ceylinco Consolidated Chairman Deshamanya Dr. Lalith Kotelawala, AIT President Said Irandoust. Participating the event were Ceylinco Education Group Deputy Chairman Jagath Alwis and AIT SOM Dean, Prof. I. M. Pandey.

The newspapers wrote that the scheme targets students with expertise and experience in the financial sector to study under a unique faculty linked with some of the top universities in the world.
