Indonesian rector visits AIT
On 15 November 2006, Prof. Said Irandoust, President of AIT, received Prof. Dr. Kris Herawanm Timotius (above right), Rector of Satya Wacana Christian University, Salagita, Indonesia. At a meeting Dr. Timotius were joined by Prof. Vilas Wuwongse, Vice President-External Relations; Dr. Joko Harsono Widjaja, Visiting Associate Professor, SET/OTM and Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing, Alumni Relations Coordinator, ERCO.
The visit aims to explore and discuss possible collaboration between UKSW and AIT. In one of the discussions, a possibility of sending UKSW teaching staff to study at AIT with the support of external funding. It was also discussed that possibilities of collaboration will take place between AIT, AIT-CI and UKSW in unified masters degree program, 2 stages dual degree program, joint training programs etc. As a follow up, AIT will send concept notes and sample documents related to collaboration activities.
Prof. Timotius visit was capped by meeting Indonesian students studying at AIT and visiting the AIT Library.
