Farewell to K-water interns

During the meeting, the AIT President elaborated some of the on-going
strategic plans of AIT. This is the second batch of employees of K-Water that came to AIT for
internship, while K-Water has been providing internships in Korea for
AIT students for four consecutive years. The President said that he was
looking forward towards strengthening the partnership between AIT and
K-Water.

Two of the interns, Mr. Kim Jae-oh and Ms. Choi Joo-hee attended the
School of Management (SOM) under the supervision of Dr. Winai
Wongsurawat to work on the topic “Korean Economic Development”.

Ms. Lee Jung-eun was in School of Environment and Resources and
Development (SERD) and worked under the supervision of Dr. Thammarat
Koottatep on the project “Groundwater and Industrial Water in
Korea”.

The remaining three, Ms. Kim Na-hyeon, Mr. Ka Pil-Sun and Mr. Kim
Hwee-Jin were in School of Engineering and Technology (SET) under the
supervision of Dr. M.S. Babel. While Ms. Kim worked on “Changing global
water management”, Mr. Kapilsun worked on “Global Warming is the main
reason of sea level rising” while Mr. Hwee-jin’s project was
“experiment on flood control”.

The President complimented Dr. Winai, Dr. Babel, Dr. Thammrat, Mr. An
Nguyen Thien Tran (AIT Student) and ERCO and Student Office for their
support and help provided to K-water interns during their stay at
AIT.

Ms. Wannapa Pliansri Acting-Head, External Relations and Communication
Office (ERCO), Mrs. Ann V. Lopez Fontanilla, Student Head, Mr. Tenzin
Rabgyal, Program Officer, ERCO and Mrs. Joan Carla C. Gonzales,
Coordinator of Career Center & Student Affairs along with AIT
student Ms. Jirawadee Polprasert, who went to K-water for internship
this year were present in the farewell meeting.
