AIT has signed a MOU with Amata Corporation Public
Company Limited to conduct a feasibility study for establishing an
international educational hub for undergraduate and /or postgraduate
programs in Amata Nakorn. The MOU was signed by AIT President Said
Irandoust on 16 September 2009.
The MOU envisages exploring other related activities and services as
may be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Amata is a company with
its principal business in industrial estate establishment and is
creating a city concept under the “Amata Science City” banner. Amata
has established three industrial estates located in Thailand and
Vietnam, which houses several worldwide renowned multinational
manufacturing companies.
Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Vice President for Resource
Development, Professor Sudip K. Rakshit, Vice President for Research
and Dr. H. L. Tien, Associate Head for Administration, accompanied the
AIT President. Mr. Vikrom Kromadit, Chairman of the Executive Board,
Mr. Surin Jiravisit, Executive Advisor, Dr. Warapatr Todhanakasem,
Executive Advisor, Mrs. Somhatai Panichewa, Chief Business Officer; and
Mr. Satha Vanalabh-patana, Industrial Business Development Department
Manager, participated in the event from Amata.
