Amata Corporation to contribute 1 Million Baht for AIT library

During his interaction with Prof. Worsak, Mr. VIkrom not only pledged
a donation of 1 Million Baht for the AIT Library, but also assured help
in mobilizing additional support from foreign corporates that are
operating from the Amata Industrial Estate.

Amata and AIT have been signatories of a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) aimed at providing R&D support to Amata's international
tenants. Mr.Vikrom also spoke about the progress of the Amata Science
City, in which AIT along with seven other leading higher education
institutions had signed an MoU in 2010 to establish their presence in
Chon Buri, Thailand He invited AIT to establish a front office to forge
stronger collaboration with R&D companies in Chon Buri

Mr.Vikrom graduated from rhe National Taiwan University in Mechanical
Engineering. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amata
Corporation, Thailand’s leading industrial estate developer. He also
runs an eco-friendly industrial estate, the Amata City in Bien Hoa,
Vietnam. In 2007, Forbes Magazine named him one of the 48 Heroes of
Philanthropy in Asia.
